The princess of pop and the next queen of country Taylor Swift has become the golden girl as she took home some Grammy awards tonight 4 to be exact including the biggest of the night Album of the Year all of which were well deserved so congratulations to her. She probably even deserved a few more then she received but it’s not like this is her one shot. These Grammy awards will undoubtedly be the first of many to come in what will continue to be an amazing career for the young singer. The record breaking year she had in 09’ is one that can only be matched by a few others and tonight set her up to have a night like this every year for a long time to come. It seems to me that ever since she popped up on the radar and became more main stream following the release of her 2nd and 3rd singles off her debut album she can do no wrong. And her popularity and success continues to grow at astonishing rate and is on track to become one of the biggest stars in the world. If you’ve ever seen her at an award show in which she is nominated her fans cheer louder for her then any of the other nominees in the category which I think is pretty cool. Her fans, myself included can’t get enough of her and can’t release her next album fast enough (rumored to be released sometime this fall). She could probably not release another album for a few years and just tour and still have unprecedented success. Next month she’ll be hitting the road for the 2nd leg of her awesome fearless tour. She will also be making her big screen debut next month as Samantha Kenny in the movie Valentine’s Day, the movie with an all star cast should be a big hit but if nothing else it will be one because her fans will be out in full force to see her. This will open the door to what I believe will be a very good movie career, at this point she could already be the lead role in a romantic comedy and could have the box office success that Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears could only dream of, granted that’s like comparing filet mignon and cat food, it’s not even close but that’s a whole different discussion. Everything she touches turns to gold and with every no venture there seems to be some sort of record broken or acclaim. With the release of “Today was a fairytale” from the Valentine’s Day soundtrack she now holds the record for best download debut by a female artist by knocking off Britney Spears. Fearless, her second album spent 11 non-consecutive weeks at #1 which is unheard of in this day of digital downloads but that hasn’t stopped her as she holds numerous various records for digital sales as well. Coming in the spring also is her own line of greeting cards that her fans will certainly be rushing out to pick up. She talked recently about how down the road she wants to write an autobiography about her crazy life and all the cool things she’s done, she could write one right now and it would for sure by a #1 bestseller and she could probably write one every year and have unbelievable success. That can’t be said about many other people in the world which is a stunning accomplishment for Miss Swift. That is one of the things that I love about her, is her success, I went out and bought her album Fearless when it came out because I wanted to see her at #1 and I hadn’t gone and bought an album in a number of years. When she rereleased the album with 6 new songs, I like millions of her fans went out and bought the album again and was more than happy to. I watched CSI and SNL solely because she was on there and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one. I can’t wait to see her in concert again in May more so than any other artist that I’m a fan of, the tickets were $70 and I gladly would have paid double that as I’m sure would most of her fans because that’s how special she really is. She is doing something that hasn’t been done in a long time and just has this aura about her that is unlike any other singer/celebrity out there but that’s just who she is. No matter what she does it turns into gold not many others can do what she does and still be who she is but hey! That’s just my opinion.

Totally agree, everything she does is so great but then again maybe I’m impartial because I love her too and can’t get enough!

I can’t believe all the haters out there just bashing her when she had such a good night, her album was #1 for 11 weeks, how could it not be album of the year, it blew away the competition. I never notcied the cheering thing when her name is annonced until you mentioned it, that’s so wierd i don’t think i’ve ever seen that before
